While many complex reporting needs can be met with Microsoft SSRS, sometimes that’s not enough to improve business intelligence. Especially, if you have dedicated data analysts who need to churn through mountains of data.
Fortunately a complete set of business intelligence tools is included as part of the Microsoft SQL Server. In this case, our Microsoft BI Consultants turn to Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), which is SQL Server’s “Cube” Technology.
We typically write reports directly over relational databases with large quantities of data requiring many “pre-calculated” formulas. However, a cube can make analysis that much easier.
And of course, we know that almost everything will wind up in Excel, whether a regular pivot table or some of the more recent Excel Advances including Power Pivot and Power BI.
SSAS enables our Microsoft BI Consultants to provide you with the reports you need from the software you already have.®
